Treatment & Q&A

After completing a consent form and medical history we will discuss the look you wish to achieve, along with your choice of colour. Suzanne will explain every step of the treatment and answer and queries you may have.

The area to be treated will be professionally measured and drawn so that you can see the shape and improvement. We will not commence the treatment until you are 100% happy with the enhancement. The pigment is then applied to the skin using disposable sterile needles or blades. A topical anaesthetic is applied throughout  the treatment to minimise any discomfort. Please be aware the treated area will look much darker and more definite than you would want. THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY until the area heals.

This should take approximately 4-7 days.  You will be given aftercare information which you must follow to ensure you achieve the best results. The initial darker colour will lighten and soften once healed and will look very natural.  You may need a follow up treatment after 4-6 weeks. Not everybody needs a second appointment , it depends on how well your skin takes the colour. There is an application charge for a second treatment  of £50 - £75. We recommend top ups to refresh the colour every 1-2 years depending on how quickly the pigment fades on your skin.

Does it look natural?

Very natural, your features just look more defined. Your friends never need to know unless you tell them.

How long will it last?

This varies on the individual, each skin type breaks the pigment down at different rates. Microblading is more superficial and the strokes are finer therefore it may not remain as long as when applied with the digital machine. Exposure to the sun can also fade the colour quicker. Most clients like to freshen their colour every 1-2 years.

Does it hurt?

Topical anaesthetic is used which greatly reduces any discomfort. Most clients liken it to a sharp scratching sensation, others feel absolutely nothing.

What will it look like after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment the skin can me mildly red and a little swollen, but this soon reduces and normal activities can be resumed immediately. The colour of the pigment will seem very dark and defined until the area heals.

How long will it take to heal?

After the procedure, a light crust will form which is dry to the touch. This will fall off in a few days. During this time the pigment area will look darker and more defined than you would want. Once the crust flakes off, the colour will lighten 30-40%, you can go out immediately as the crust is only slightly visible.

Is the treatment safe?

Suzanne is highly trained and very experienced. We use state of the art digital technology which allows safe delivery of pigment into the skin. Safety is our priority, everything we use is sterile and fully disposable. The disposable needle is opened in front of each client.

How will I know which colour to choose?

We will discuss at length your preferences to help you achieve your desired result. Any colour can be mixed to compliment your natural skin tones, however we always work on the conservative side as you can always add more pigment to define the area at a later date.
